What each stage is actually doing
Every system starts with the core three: sediment, carbon and UF membrane. Alkaline mineralising and silver-infused carbon are optional add-ons for households that want smoother-tasting water or extra protection against bacterial regrowth in the filter bed.
PP Sediment
Coarse guard
A 5-micron polypropylene depth filter that catches rust, grit and sediment before it can foul everything downstream.
GAC Carbon
Taste & odour
Coconut-shell activated carbon (iodine value 1,000 mg/g) strips chlorine and trace organics for cleaner-tasting water.
UF Membrane
Bacteria barrier
A 0.01-micron polysulfone hollow-fibre membrane rejects up to 99.9999% (6-log) of bacteria, including E. coli — no electricity, no stripped minerals.
Alkaline
Mineral finish
Adds back calcium, magnesium and potassium while lifting pH to a balanced alkaline level, for smoother-tasting water.
Silver GAC
Extra polish
Silver-infused coconut-shell carbon (iodine value 1,100 mg/g) that keeps inhibiting bacterial growth in the filter bed while mopping up residual chlorine and odour.
